Kroos is one of Zidane’s most important players and vocal supporters, saying on Thursday: ‘Zidane has won eight titles in two years, that’s more than enough.
‘We have gone through a difficult phase, but in recent weeks we have raised our level and I am confident that we will be very successful going forward.’
Real currently lie in fourth place, trailing leaders Barcelona by 17 points with a game in hand. The title appears long gone but victory over Betis at the Bernabeu would help keep up the momentum generated by the win over PSG.
