They’re expected to butt heads when they come face-to-face on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Outta Here this week.
But Anthony Mundine’s feud with Danny Green could all be an act, according to Brendan Fevola.
Speaking on Fox FM’s Fifi, Fev and Byron on Thursday, season two winner Brendan said he witnessed an exchange between the pair 10 years ago which raised doubts in his mind about the boxing champs.
‘They’re actually mates’: Anthony Mundine’s feud with Danny Green could all be an act, according to Brendan Fevola
‘Peek behind the curtain, they’re actually mates, there’s a bombshell,’ he said.
Hi co-host Fifi Box asked whether it’s all ‘pretend,’ to which Brendan replied ‘yes.’
‘Yes and they make a fortune because they just box with each other again and again,’ he said.
‘It was about 10 years ago and I was at some hotel and [Anthony Mundine] was fighting and I was in his room to get some tickets.
He continued: ‘In walked Danny Green and Danny Green’s wife and I’m going, ‘Oh it’s going to be on! What’s happening? These guys hate each other!’
Former AFL star Brendan was left stunned when the pair instead shared a warm embrace.
‘I’m going, ‘What the hell is going on here?’ And when he walked out he [Mundine] went, ‘Oh nah, we’re mates.’ That just wrecked it all for me.’
Danny Green has already sized up his future camp-mates ahead of his debut on the show this Thursday, telling The Daily Telegraph that he’s more than ready to deal with ‘palooka’ Anthony.
‘There are some really nice people in there and there’s one palooka so the nice people outweigh the palooka,’ he told the publication on Wednesday.

‘I feel fortunate in that I’ve been able to see the field and look at the odds, to check it out and see the placement and there are some pretty good people in there.’
The well-prepared camper has also been making sure to fatten himself up prior to entering the competition.
‘I have been trying to get as overweight as I possibly can so I have some reserves in store to lose when the food is not coming my way. I am trying to get as big a beer belly as I possibly can,’ he explained.
‘I don’t see us becoming bum chums!’ Danny has made no secret of his disdain for Anthony, who has already settled into the South African jungle

‘I don’t see us becoming bum chums,’ he revealed.
But while in a perfect jungle world the pair could keep their distance, this season sees Anthony play the role of team leader.
‘The rules are rules and I don’t really follow rules that well’: Although Danny, just like the other contestants, will technically be under Mundine’s leadership, he said he’d be playing by his own rules
